American Eagles football: 50-13 rout of the Encinal Jets at home
The American (Fremont) Eagles football team put up 50 points on their own field on October 15, 2026, to beat the Encinal (Alameda) Jets 50-13 and get back in the win column, per the MaxPreps box score.
A 37-point home win
The MaxPreps game page for this matchup carries the final score only — there is no quarter-by-quarter breakdown in the source, so the 50-13 line is what is documented. What that margin does say is that the Eagles controlled a home game against a visiting team all night, outscoring Encinal 37 points. Encinal, an Alameda-area program, was listed on the MaxPreps schedule as the road team in this conference matchup.
No individual player statistics were posted for the result. The school's Instagram account (@americanhighsports) ran general "come out and support our Eagles" posts around game day rather than a stat sheet, so the story of this one has to come from the scoring line — and the line is emphatic. Fifty points at home is a statement of offensive execution against a conference defense.
Back to 4-2
The win moves the Eagles to 4-2 on the season and snaps the sting of their previous outing, a 6-20 road loss at Washington on October 9, which had dropped them to 3-2, per the MaxPreps schedule.
The week in between is the interesting part of the schedule: the Eagles' next game is a rematch of that Washington loss, on the road at 7:00 p.m. on October 22. They come in with a week of film showing how to beat the team that beat them two weeks ago — and a 50-point performance to bank as proof the offense can move the ball.

What's next for American football
One more week, then the rematch at Washington — the Eagles' second trip to that field in ten days. The 4-2 record heading in is built on the idea that the 6-20 loss was a one-off; the 50-13 at home on October 15 is the best evidence yet that it was. The schedule says the answer to that question comes October 22.
